We are tourists who enjoy traveling in a safe and carefree manner. In India, we got to know two drivers who provided us with an unforgettable journey. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Pearls of India is an initiative of Dutch tourists and Indian drivers. We connect tourists with drivers and mediate in making an unforgettable journey through (North) India and Nepal. A private driver offers unparalleled possibilities; you get to experience the numerous attractions, unique culture, wildlife, and people of India, but above all, you can travel comfortably and fully enjoy the journey.<\/p>\n\n

How it all started<\/h2>\n\n

As European travellers, we booked a trip with a car and driver through Rajasthan years ago via an Indian agent. Once we arrived at the airport in Delhi, we were neatly met by our driver Babu<\/a>.<\/strong> The contact was special from the first moment. We were immediately absorbed in the Indian culture and were heading for an unforgettable trip. In consultation, we decided which places we wanted to visit. Babu’s knowledge was very useful here. In Delhi, we also met his older brother Bharat, who also worked as a driver. <\/p>\n\n

After long and special conversations, we started to feel that we had to do something for these two brothers. They had to earn a living for their families in Nepal with a few euros a day. At a young age they left for big Delhi, because it was the only opportunity to earn money and take care of a large family. <\/p>\n\n

With the initiative The Pearls of India we started in mid-2010 and since then we have tried to mediate between tourists or travelers and drivers from North India. We do this entirely voluntarily without a profit model. All travelers pay exclusively directly to the drivers. With great pleasure, many people have already made an unforgettable trip through India. It is even possible to make a combination trip of India<\/a><\/strong> and Nepal, simply with the same trusted driver. Do you want to travel around South India?
